Health Care Evaluation Specialist

LMI is seeking a Health Care Evaluation Specialist experienced in and capable of performing program evaluation at the federal and state levels. The incumbent will have a strong team orientation, ability to work effectively in an agile environment (an incremental, iterative approach to unpredictable work processes that relies on sprints or small tests of change), and bring in-depth knowledge of the leading practices in healthcare program evaluation. The Evaluation Specialist will have documented experience with quasi- and non-experimental designs. In collaboration with a team of professionals, this individual will articulate client needs into the design of new programs, evaluate existing programs, and conduct comparisons across multiple programs to guide government clients toward achievement of the goals of higher quality care, more affordable health care, and improved public health. This position is full-time, on-site, and based at LMI Headquarters in Tysons, VA, with some travel to Woodlawn, MD and other sites as required.  Responsibilities      Develop program designs and implementation plans that incorporate evaluation as a design element.      Conduct systematic literature reviews and environmental scans to support proposal, evaluation, and dissemination activities.      Identify, convene, and support information gathering from internal and external experts (e.g., TEPs)      Incorporate established health care quality metrics as a component of the evaluation process.      Collaborate with team members, external stakeholders, and clients to develop strategic rapid-cycle and long cycle evaluation plans that identify and prioritize evaluation activities within contract constraints.      Develop, implement, and manage analysis plans to maximize reliability and validity.      Conduct rapid-cycle evaluations in an agile environment based on evaluation priorities within specified program areas, including but not limited to data identification, collection, analysis, reporting, and dissemination of results and recommendations.      Engage with clients and stakeholders to validate findings, making recommendations for improvements of the programs under review.      Present evaluation findings in written and oral form, including white papers, publications, conference presentations, and webinars, among others.      Support the agile environment of evaluation by engaging in continuous quality improvement activities, process improvement, and standardization      Maintain logs of evaluation activities for use in preparation and authorship of internal, client-facing, and peer-reviewed published reports of the development process and its influences on care      Attend external evaluation-oriented meetings and conferences as appropriate.      Assist with internal capability development through mentoring, role modeling, and supervision. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:      Knowledge of or familiarity with the American Evaluation Association's Guiding Principles for Evaluators      A strong background in healthcare, with specific knowledge of the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) and Medicaid demonstration programs, data sources (e.g., claims, registries, EHRs), and pertinent laws (e.g., MACRA)      Experience developing or reviewing evaluation and research proposals      Strong quantitative and qualitative data collection, data quality assessment, and analytics skills to provide technical assistance to clients and partners      Demonstrated project management skills including managing multiple stakeholders and timelines      Ability to prioritize tasks, manage large amounts of data, and succeed in an agile environment      Excellent written, visual, and oral communication skills effective with broad and diverse audiences      Self-starter able to take some direction but develop his or her own workstreams with little supervision      Master's Degree in an evaluation-oriented field (e.g., MPP, MPS)      3-5 years of program evaluationexperience PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:      Experience in federal government or federal government consulting      5+ years of experience in program evaluation      5+ years in qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis      Project management experience and/or credentials      Publication history in peer-reviewed or trade journals 2018-2295

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
