Associate DevOps Engineer

The DevOps Associate Engineer team member develops applications to deliver integration and automation solutions across Alarm.com's infrastructure and applications stack throughout the entire lifecycle. This position works closely with Engineering, Quality Engineering, Operations and Release Management in onboarding of new and existing life safety and home automation applications to the cloud and serves as the main liaison between Release Management, Engineering and Operations in the delivery of automated solutions and software deployment frameworks from inception to development to production to maintenance. RESPONSIBILITIES  The DevOps Associate Engineer's primary job responsibilities will include:o Design and develop tools and frameworks to enable continuous code integration and automated infrastructure management across all layers in the cloud - Servers, Operating Systems, Applications, Database Management Systems, Management infrastructure, and Monitoring and Alerting.o Assist in the implementation Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery solutions.o Follow best practices for deploying software in the cloud, hybrid clouds and multi-active data centers.o Develop a full understanding on the operation and architecture of the Alarm.com clouds and provide innovative solutions to increase reliability, performance and predictability in the operations.o Embrace DevOps activities to increase consistency and visibility into change management under a highly compliant environment.o Leverage both Open Source and Commercial solutions to build tools on an ad-hoc basis.o Support application deployments. REQUIREMENTS o B.A. or B.S. (or higher level degree) in Computer Science or a similar engineering program with strong academic performance preferred. o 1-3 years of experience in complex data center and cloud environments.  o Technical Writing and strong verbal communication skills. o Familiarity in containers, Docker, Kubernetes and related tools is preferred. o Reasonable experience managing Windows and Linux environments. o Working knowledge in Server Monitoring & Application Performance Monitoring solutions. E.g. PagerDuty, LogicMonitor, Nagios/Icinga, Logstash, Kibana, ElasticSearch and Splunk. o Familiarity in Cloud Platforms and virtualization Technologies: Vmware and Amazon Web Services. o Familiarity in automation frameworks and tools: Puppet, Chef, Python, PHP, Ruby, Perl and Unix Shell (bash, ksh). o Experience in Agile Methodologies and processes is a nice to have.  o Familiar with multi-tiered escalation and on call procedures o Hands-on experience assisting Engineering and Quality Assurance with deployment issues related to the different classes of environments that comprise the infrastructure o Ability to work both collaboratively within a team environment o Self directed approach with high degree of initiative to investigate and resolve issues

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
