The Convention Engineering Coordinator role
The Engineering Coordinator's primary responsibility is the daily coordination of the Engineering operations. The Engineering Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the department achieves the highest level of service delivery through effective communication and follow up. Critical aspects of the role are communicating with Housekeeping and Front Office departments; ordering and receiving parts; processing Payroll for the department; receiving and dispatching requests/tasks to all key contacts and helping ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the department.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Assist in the administration of the department by preparing and maintaining schedules, logs, records and other documentation to ensure a smooth operation and minimize liabilities.
Coordinate the implementation of the property and equipment preventive maintenance and repairs program.
Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff.
Review purchase requests and monitor expenses budget to ensure goals are met/exceeded.
Process payroll for the department which includes fixing missed punches and completing the Payroll process in a timely manner.
Follow all Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
Handle telephone calls and ensure all messages, information and requests are logged, communicated promptly and accurately to provide prompt delivery of excellent service for both internal and external guests.
Maintain effective record and filing systems; completing all administrative reports accurately and in a timely manner.
Process requests and delegates work assignments in a timely manner while adhering to Sheraton brand standards.
Assist the Front Office and Housekeeping departments in dispatching tickets to engineers, follow up on assignments and close tickets in a timely manner while adhering to Sheraton brand standards.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must have the ability to communicate in English.
Self-starting personality with an even disposition
Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player
Must possess basic computational ability and a good knowledge Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Publisher.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
