Practice located in Tysons, VA.
What your day looks like:
  • Work closely with Partners, Managers, Associates and our clients on the following types of projects:
  • Compliance and Gap Assessments (FAR, DFARS, CAS, etc.)
  • Interface with DCAA or DCMA on audit issues on behalf of our clients
  • Assist with business systems implementations
  • Advise on indirect cost structures and provide analysis and/or modeling to assist clients with their methodologies
  • Incurred cost submission review and/or preparation
  • Assist with contract pricing and estimating
  • Conduct Cost& Price Analysis
  • Conduct walkthroughs and assist with developing processes, policies and procedures
  • Assist with contract close outs
  • Provide contract management support
  • Provide training to clients

What you need for this role:

  • Bachelor‚ s degree in either Accounting or Finance; other degrees and additional years of experience may be substituted in certain circumstances
  • Must possess knowledge of basic accounting principles, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience preferred with the complying, auditing, or advising Company‚ s with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) or other applicable Federal regulations
  • DCAA or DCMA experience is preferred
  • CPA or CPA candidate is preferred
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment
  • Must be detail-oriented and well-organized
  • Demonstrates flexibility to adapt to a fast paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Completes assignments on time and with a high degree of accuracy and completeness
  • Demonstrates ability to manage time effectively to meet needs of the organization and customers
  • Comfortable with client and firm travel

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
