Account Executive The Account Executive will lead business development for our federal government customer groups for the 18 Intelligence Community agencies with a focus on the 9 Department of Defense (DoD) intelligence elements (including DIA, NSA, NGA, NRO), and the intelligence elements of the five DoD services (Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Space Force)In this role, you will be responsible for formulating and executing business winning strategies, collecting competitive intelligence, and developing and qualifying our Intelligence Community pipelineWill plan and direct all aspects of business development activities and initiatives for assigned client groupThe candidate must have demonstrable experience generating and winning new business opportunities and growing new business relationships from within the intelligence agencies and or DoD intelligence elementsCandidate must have a deep understanding and experience within Federal Contracting with established existing networks and high-level contacts including a track record of winning programs in a competitive environmentResponsibilities include full opportunity lifecycle management including working with business winning staff and operations organizations to identify and qualify opportunities, develop and maintain the opportunity pipeline, develop of customer-focused solutions, develop and maintain of customer relationships, working with executive staff to obtain opportunity pursuit approvals, developing responses to request information/sources sought, supporting the development of strong proposals through writing and solution developmentAdditional duties include driving revenues that exceed assigned revenue targetsCompensation &
Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Account Executive:
$146k - $230k depending on experience, plus bonusPay commensurate with experienceFull time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as providedBenefits are subject to change with or without noticeAccount Executive Responsibilities Include:
o Establishes, implements and maintains the overall business development direction and goals for an assigned client group.
o Defines and drives growth by focusing on customer interaction, teaming approach, technical differentiation and contracting solution strategies.
o Provides leadership in the financial analysis, sensitivity analysis, scenario planning and forecasting and aligns activities to the long-term strategic master plan.
o Establish best practice that incorporates a sense of urgency and responsiveness while focused on delivering a high-quality product at desired profit margins.
o Identifies potential business opportunities and/or partners to grow revenue and operating income.
o Negotiates agreements that are beneficial in the continued growth and success of the company.
o Assesses new markets, develops initiatives to penetrate and analyzes new business opportunities results.
o Establishes effective and efficient communication with support areas and operations to meet business development direction and goals and grow revenue and operating income.
o Promotes Cherokee Federal capabilities and qualifications to assigned client group.
o Identification and qualification of new business opportunities of all sizes within pipeline.
o Develops opportunity capture strategies and supports the execution of those strategies/tactics.
o Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
o Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office settingWork may require travel, including overnight staysAccount Executive Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
o Bachelor's degree in business or a related fieldo 10-15 years of experience in business development activities with the federal government, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
o Must have prior experience increasing sales and managing contracts in the range of $200M.
o Ability to develop and implement tactical and strategic plans, goals and objectives.
o Strong relationship and business development skills.
o Advanced knowledge of assigned client group including key contacts, decision-makers and both formal and informal decision-making processes.
o Strong organization, planning and communication skills.
o Excellent knowledge of GSA, 8(a) and Full & Open Government procurements including Micro Services.
